Joe Biden honored Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after her passing, saying Justice Ginsburg "stood for all of us. She was an American hero, a giant of legal doctrine, and a relentless voice in the pursuit of that highest American ideal: Equal Justice Under Law. May her memory be a blessing to all people who cherish our Constitution and its promise."

Justice Ginsburg is remembered as a champion of justice, a defender of women's rights and equality, and a fierce protector of our democracy.

Throughout her legal career she dedicated herself to advancing opportunity for every American, and she used her 27-year tenure as the second woman to be nominated to the Supreme Court to fortify the pillars of our democracy.

But Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump are threatening to destroy that legacy by pushing what will undoubtedly be a far-right judge to fill her seat and undo everything she stood for. We can't allow Mitch McConnell to use his majority power to bypass the will of the American people, but that's exactly what he's getting away with now. We are taking a stand to honor the late Justice Ginsburg and everything she stood for, but we need to know, do you stand with us?
