We're facing new restrictions because of the failures of test and trace. If we're going to get out of lockdown safely, see our families and hug our loved ones again, this government needs to fix test and trace NOW!
After last week's test and trace shambles, now is the time to ramp up the pressure. Will you invite your MP to join you for a quick meeting online this Friday, to toast the NHS and public health teams? By toasting with you, they'll be showing their support for a public test and trace.

Without a functioning test and trace programme, we've little hope of these restrictions on our lives being lifted for more than a short period. MPs need to pledge to do everything they can to get us public test and trace now.
But it's clear that the government if anything wants to ramp up private companies involvement ([link removed]) in test and trace. We can't let them get away with it.
We'll send you a briefing ahead of your meeting, but you don't need to know every detail on privatised test and trace!

You can toast your MP this Friday over zoom or google hangouts, with a beer, or a cup of tea - whatever you fancy. They can meet lots of you together on a call they can host, or they can offer to do a social media post pledging support.
By inviting your MP to a quick online meeting to toast your MP right now, you're asking them to make a choice. They can support a failing programme or do what's right by their community. And with the system floundering, how can they defend the continued leadership of test and trace by private companies?

While contact tracing is led by local public health teams outside of England, which is brilliant and should be toasted to, the privatised testing system affects all of us and we need to fix it immediately ahead of winter. Scottish Welsh and Northern Irish MPs can toast to ALL of their test and trace being publicly run and led.
