Dear John,

Thanks to supporters like you, since we were founded over 30 years ago, we have changed the lives of millions of women and girls. Working alongside our partners,
* We've supported changes in the laws and policies that oppress women in over 35 countries

* We've dramatically increased the number of women taking part in politics in Nepal, Ghana and Kenya

* We've created safe spaces for over 13,000 women and girls fleeing violence in Ethiopia.

But as we both know, the journey towards gender equality is far from over. Right now, a global backlash against women’s rights is on the rise. Unsympathetic world leaders and the growing strength of anti-rights groups are posing great risks to progress made.

Womankind is a small charity but we have big ambitions. We want to support as many projects in our focus countries as possible. But in order to continue supporting women and girls for another 30 years, we need some help spreading the word about our work.
