Friend, You remember. In 2016, Mitch McConnell refused to let the Senate hold a vote on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee. It was an election year and he said “the voters should have a say” in selecting the next Supreme Court judge. Four years later, with weeks left before the Presidential election, Mitch has changed his tune. Now he’s promising that Donald Trump’s “nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.” Mitch McConnell’s hypocrisy is breathtaking. Nominating and confirming a Supreme Court justice should be about finding the best person for the job, not rushing ahead with a cynical, political power grab. Protecting health care, reproductive choice, and the environment, standing up for our civil rights and workers rights — the decisions made by the Supreme Court touch the lives of millions of Americans. Millions are counting on us to hold Mitch McConnell and Republicans accountable for their hypocrisy. Thank you for standing with me to protect our democracy, Debbie
