John - A lot of people are trying their best to make sure we don't vote this year. They’re creating mass confusion around the voting process, engaging in voter suppression, and even encouraging would-be vigilantes to ‘police’ the polls. But we aren’t falling for that.
This is not new: our communities have always had to fight for the right to vote. We are primed and energized, ready to continue that fight. And it all starts with first making sure we are registered to vote. [[link removed]]
CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION STATUS [[link removed]]
Today is National Voter Registration Day and we’re joining thousands of organizations across the country in urging all of our friends to make sure they are registered to vote [[link removed]] .
Just because you were registered two years ago, doesn’t mean you’re registered today. Millions of Americans are unable to vote every year because they missed a registration deadline or forgot to update their registration after moving. Check your registration status now to make sure you can vote in November [[link removed]] .
Once you check on your registration, ask your friends and family to do the same. Then, help spread the word on Facebook and Twitter.
