Happy National Voter Registration Day!

Today is National Voter Registration Day! Voter registration is more important than ever, especially due to the pandemic and multiple barriers our communities face to access the ballot. Asian Americans stand to make a difference. Whether you are a new citizen, or have voted every election you were eligible, we need you to talk to your families, friends, and communities, and make a plan yourself to vote!

"I am voting because it’s the most direct way to make sure my voice is HEARD! In DC, I will be mailed my mail-in ballot in October, and I will be able to vote by mail from the comfort and safety of my own home. DC voters also have in-person voting options and early voting options. GO VOTE! Make your voice heard!" -Bessie Chan-Smitham

"I am voting early and by mail to honor my immigrant family that moved to the U.S. for a better life and for those that we’ve lost this year who have fought tirelessly for my right to vote. My right to vote is sacred and I will make sure to my voice heard!" -Terry Ao Minnis

"I’m voting because I am privileged enough to do so. Many people who live in this country don't have a say in who governs them, so I never want to take the right to vote for granted." -Anika Raju
