Today is National Voter Registration Day -- and, as we all know, the stakes in November’s election have never been higher. We must exercise our right to vote this year.

Now is the time to double-check your voter registration status if you’ve moved or register to vote if you haven’t already -- here in Georgia, the deadline for online registration is October 5th.

Republicans in our state are blatantly encouraging voter suppression -- and there’s a reason for that, friend. They know that when everyone’s voice is heard, Democrats win. If your vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be trying so hard to keep you away from the ballot box.

There is too much on the line to sit this one out -- the future of our country will be shaped by our actions today. We’ve seen the effects of voter suppression in Georgia firsthand, from the 2018 gubernatorial election to the primaries earlier this year. We won’t let our voices be silenced again, not when the stakes are this high.

Don’t wait until the last minute -- create a plan to cast your vote right now. On National Voter Registration Day, let’s honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by exercising the right they fought so hard to attain. Let’s elect candidates who will lead with integrity and compassion. Let’s show up for what we believe in.
