We have 42 days until Election Day. With the devastating news of Justice Ginsburg’s passing, we know more than ever that these last six weeks are going to be a real fight. It will be tough, but this is a fight that we will win if we organize and use our people power.
That’s why we want to extend a special invitation to you to join tonight's Texting Tuesday at 6 p.m. Eastern with one of our fiercest progressive champions: Rep. Ayanna Pressley.
Rep. Pressley is one of the four members of The Squad along with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib. Tonight, she will discuss why need to fight, how we need to fight, and what we need to do to win this November to bring power back to the people. We’ll be texting into six key battleground states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Arizona, and Wisconsin.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley is an advocate, a policy-maker, an activist, and a survivor. She has always centered the people closest to the pain in her advocacy. As a result, she has helped sponsor bills and amplify movements to help transform our criminal justice system, address the climate crisis, eliminate healthcare disparities, and more.
If this is your first time texting, don’t worry! Our team of super volunteers and moderators will help you get trained up and texting in no time. At last week’s Texting Tuesday, hundreds of us came together to send more than 650,000 thousand texts in just 90 minutes while listening to a DJ and live music.
The stakes are even more serious now, which means we need to reach even more voters to ensure we win on November 3. Can you join us tonight at 6 p.m.?
