We are happy to announce the first guest of our Fall Speaker Series! You are invited to join a conversation with Dr. Mark Hathaway, Director of Family Planning at Unity Health and Senior Technical Advisor at Jhpiego on Thursday, September 24th, at 2:00pm ET/11:00am PT. The title of Mark's talk is "Contraceptive Mechanism of Action: In the Womb Where it Happens." You can RSVP for the talk here. Mark, a member of Population Connection's Board of Directors, will share his expertise as an OB/GYN. He will review basic female anatomy to outline how different contraceptive methods function and will touch on common misconceptions surrounding the use of these methods. Participants will leave the presentation with a more complete understanding of the types of family planning methods available to help inform their advocacy work for universal access to family planning. Mark’s presentation will be the first in our Fall Speaker Series. Over the coming months, we will host Zoom calls from experts in the fields of public health, population, and reproductive rights.
