Bold Nebraska and NoKXL coalition partners Sierra Club and Promise to Protect are hosting a webinar this Sunday, Sept. 27 (4-5pm CT), to provide a Keystone XL status update and offer testimony tips for the upcoming tele-public hearings on proposed Clean Water Act permits for the pipeline scheduled for Sept. 28, 29, and Oct. 1.
Bold's Jane Kleeb will join Dallas Goldtooth of Indigenous Environmental Network and others to give an update on organizing to stop the pipeline from folks working on the ground, and ongoing legal challenges. (You may join either via your computer, or dial-in to a phone number provided upon registration).
We'll also provide all the call-in details and testimony tips you'll need to fill your up-to-three-minutes of time to speak on the upcoming telephone-based "public hearings" that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and state agencies in Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska are hosting to consider TransCanada / TC Energy's new applications for Clean Water Act permits to build Keystone XL across U.S. waterways.
(The company was forced to apply for these new permits after we successfully challenged its blanket "Nationwide Permit 12" for KXL in court).
Upcoming telephone-based public hearings on KXL water permits:
Monday, Sept. 28 (Montana-focused) 4-8pm CT
Tuesday, Sept. 29 (South Dakota-focused) 4-8pm CT
Thursday, Oct. 1 (Nebraska-focused) 4-8pm CT
We look forward to providing you with a Pipeline Fighter update and testimony tips for the upcoming KXL water permit public hearings.
Please register for the webinar on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4pm CT. (Even if you can’t attend the webinar, if you register we'll still send you all the details on how to call-in to the upcoming public hearings).
