Frankly, it's outrageous.
It has been 129 days since the House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act, a $3 trillion package for COVID-19 relief and recovery.
Families across the country have lost jobs, lost their health care, and struggled to make ends meet. Small businesses have been forced to close, lay off workers, and radically change their operations. State and local governments have had to reduce public services--including health care services--because tax revenues have collapsed. And we still don't have a national strategy for stopping the spread of the coronavirus.
And yet, under Mitch McConnell, the U.S. Senate fails to act. McConnell slumbers, the country suffers.
Meanwhile, within an hour of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death, Senator McConnell announced that the Senate would rush a vote to replace her with a right-wing ideologue. Donald Trump says he'll announce his pick immediately after her funeral.
These people have no shame.
We must take back the U.S. Senate to prevent a right-wing takeover of the Supreme Court and to finally, finally make progress for the American people on stopping this terrible virus and helping our nation recover from the economic devastation wrought by Donald Trump's failure to take it seriously.
Since Friday evening, 1175 supporters have pitched in $61,972 to the Blue Wave Project--my project to direct last-minute funds to the critical U.S. Senate races that need it the most. We've smashed our $250,000 goal, so we're raising it to $275,000 to make an even bigger difference. Will you pitch in $14 to help get us there?

The stakes have never been higher. But I'm also optimistic about our chances to take back the Senate. We have tremendous candidates and at least TEN viable red-to-blue Senate races. We can and we will win this--as long as we all do our part in these final six weeks!
Onward!
Jeff
