It’s National Voter Registration Day -- which means it’s the perfect time for Democrats to make up the voter registration gap between us and Republicans.
Axios News reported just last month that “The Trump campaign and RNC have now registered 100,000 new voters in the 2020 cycle, more than doubling their numbers from 2016.”
In addition to the new voters the GOP has on the books, Dave Wasserman of The Cook Political Report has warned of another threat: voters switching parties from Democrat to Republican, or dropping out of the electorate altogether.
To address this problem, we’ll need a twofold solution. We must increase voter registration for Democrats, who have already seen their 2016 advantage shrink by 133,000 voters in Pennsylvania and 87,000 in Florida. But second, we MUST consolidate support among the Democrats already registered -- we can’t have a single member of our team go unaccounted for. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now, to update our records and keep our counts accurate: will you tell us where you stand?
