Welcome to the latest NAAC e-alert with details of the biggest free, NOT TO BE MISSED, event, The Nottingham Mela, now in its 31st Year (and the oldest Mela in the UK) plus other host of events?that will keep you and the family entertained.

NAAC Music & Dance Academy

Our NAAC Music & Dance Academy classes have started for the new term from Wednesday 4 September 2019 for another 14 weeks at Radford Academy. We are pleased to have Shiamak (World's biggest Bollywood Dance Academy), back for the new term and working in partnership with NAAC. Come and learn?Giddha & Bhangra?with Bhumika Nehra (TAAL) or have a go at the?Bollywood Zumba classes also with Bhumika. If Kathak is what you like, then join our Kathak classes with Ankita Arora...please register your names if you are interested in any of our classes taking place every Wednesday (term time) from 5:30pm-8:30pm, ASAP.

We would also like to request all of you to please try and publicise the Dhol, Tabla, Harmonium, Sitar, Vocal and Dance?classes as much as possible.?

Nottingham Arts Mela is back! Come along and enjoy exciting and inspiring arts and cultural feast of family activities, workshops, delicious street?food, games, markets, live performances, exhibitions, art films,?literature?and poetry performances from South Asia...

The theme for the Mela this year is Illusions in Transit ? exploring the journeys of people, art and society, and offering an exciting programme which captures the creative and cultural spirit of the city of Nottingham and the Midlands region.

This year's program includes live performances, exhibitions, poetry, and a series of special community engagement commissions at various venues across Hockley, The New Art Exchange and Arboretum Park.

Nottingham Arts Mela 2019 Dholi

The sizzling scent of jalebis,?samosa and chaat fills?this beautiful botanical?garden on Sunday.

With craft and fashion stalls, live?performances, poetry, arts?workshops, as well as yoga in?our well-being tent, vibrant dance and music will entertain?and delight all afternoon. The?line-up showcases the very?best of local and international?talent, including Aziz Ibrahim, Kefaya, Mashi Theatre,?Manushi, Harjinder Matharu?and Biant Singh's drumming?circle to name a few.

Come rain or shine, we will be?there to celebrate, participate?and enjoy.
