John,
In 2018, Victory Institute helped power the Rainbow Wave by training hundreds of LGBTQ candidates – many of whom are now amazing LGBTQ elected officials! Our former trainees are working hard in the U.S. Congress and state houses around the country to make sure LGBTQ equality, healthcare access and our safety isn’t stripped away by bigots.
And what’s their reward for their good work? Waves upon waves of extremist attacks from Donald Trump and his homophobic and transphobic supporters. Bigots are attacking U.S. Representatives Sharice Davids, Chris Pappas and Angie Craig for their efforts to pass the Equality Act. They are targeting state legislators like Brianna Titone in Colorado and Susan Ruiz in Kansas for standing up for LGBTQ rights.
All of these elected officials were part of the 2018 Rainbow Wave, and they’ve been fighting for equality ever since. But they need our help! The best defense against state-sanctioned bigotry is a huge wave of LGBTQ leaders. Chip in to support our work to power the next rainbow wave today!
While we don’t know what will happen on Election Day, here’s one thing we know for sure: it’s more important than ever to train and support the next generation of LGBTQ leaders. We need more and more LGBTQ people to run for office, and we need them to win. Donate today to power our work!
Thanks again for standing with us,
Elliot Imse
