It's the time of year again when we are settling back into routine and getting ready for new challenges and projects.
We are delighted to announce a new project that we believe will play a key part in supporting women in unplanned pregnancy and their families and supporting existing pro-life counselling services.
What is Community Connect?
Community Connect is an initiative from LoveBoth to support pregnant women in a practical and tangible way.
Many women experiencing unexpected pregnancies struggle with the nagging question: how will I provide for my baby?
Community Connect exists to help answer that question with practical material supports so that mums and parents feel more secure and supported in bringing their baby into the world.
Community Connect is not a counselling service but operates as a practical support hub where parents in need can access items like babygros, outfits, nappies, wipes, blankets, baby towels, buggies and other practical equipment.
The goal of Community Connect is to complement and expand the work done in recent months by the LoveBoth ‘Show Your Love’ initiative, which provided practical support to organisations working with pregnant women and new mothers through the collection and distribution of clothes and essential items like nappies and babygros to help mothers and families.
How many locations?
Initially, Community Connect will have six volunteer-run locations operating across the country where people can donate baby items and parents in need can access them.
