Latinos are on track to represent the largest minority voting bloc in 2020.

Hi John–

As a Latina and the daughter of immigrants, it's very important to me that we have leaders in office who can address the disproportionate impact of gun violence on Latinos in our country and pass common-sense gun laws that can help save lives.

That's why tomorrow, I'll be taking over the Instagram of actor/director Natalie Morales for National Voter Registration Day and Latino Heritage Month. I'll be highlighting the impacts of gun violence in the Latino community and the positive contributions Latinos have made in the gun violence prevention movement.

I'll also be drawing attention to a really important fact: 2020 is the first year that Latinos are expected to represent the largest racial or ethnic minority voting bloc. This means that the Latino community can have a huge impact on this election.

The stakes for electing Gun Sense Candidates have never been higher. As our new report shows, 3,600 Latinos die from gun violence in the US each year, and Latino children and teens are 3 times more likely to be killed in a gun homicide than their white peers. Our leaders in office have to take active measures in addressing the disproportionate impact of gun violence on Latinos. This starts with electing Gun Sense Candidates who will work to pass common-sense gun laws that can help save lives.

John, help me in making that vision a reality. Confirm or update your voter registration today.

Thank you for being a part of this movement, and I hope you'll join me tomorrow.
