Hi. This is Mondaire Jones -- I won the primary in New York's 17th
congressional district. Along with others like Jamaal Bowman and Cori
Bush, I look forward to being sworn in next January.

But I'm not waiting until January to notch big victories. I have an
exciting announcement.

Today, I won a huge victory against Donald Trump and Postmaster DeJoy in
the fight for free and fair elections. As a result, the USPS must treat
all election mail with the highest priority and pre-approve all overtime
for USPS employees. Both are critical steps to protecting our right to
vote.

I’m proud of this big win and I’m committed to continuing the fight. For
me, that means helping progressive House candidates who are in close races
against Republican incumbents -- progressives who will benefit from our
victory making the election more secure.

Balter (NY-24), Candace Valenzuela (TX-24), Jon Hoadley (MI-06), and
Georgette Gómez (CA-53)? Donate here to their campaigns -- and to my work
with the PCCC to elect them!

I’m going to need progressive allies in Congress, and these impressive
candidates are all pushing back against Donald Trump, just like I am.

The stakes of this November’s election are too high to watch from the
sidelines. Now more than ever, our democracy is on the line, our rights
are on the line, and the fate of this nation is on the line. I’m grateful
to the US District Court for the Southern District of New York for
affirming our right to a free and fair election in today’s win for all
Americans.

In response to our suit, the District Court ordered the USPS to take the
following national action: (1) to treat all election mail as Priority and
First-Class; (2) to pre-approve all overtime pay between October 26 and
November 6, 2020; (3) to submit a list of steps necessary to restore
First-Class Mail and Marketing Mail on-time delivery scores to their
highest levels; and (4) to allow late and extra trips to facilitate the
prompt delivery of election mail. The Court also ordered the USPS to file
weekly reports to keep the public apprised of its progress in meeting
these goals.

making a donation today?

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
