Dear friends,
Last week, I asked for suggestions of questions you’d like to ask Jeff Fortenberry in a debate.
Over 100 people wrote in with ideas – thank you! Here are a few of my favorites:
- You frequently describe yourself as pro-health care. Why have you voted over 60 times to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans with no plan to replace it?
- What have you learned from the COVID-19 pandemic? What role do you think the U.S. should play in international scientific collaboration for a vaccine and to prevent future pandemics?
- Name one indegenous people of Nebraska. Name one action you have taken to benefit indegenous communities.
- What have you accomplished in sixteen years in Congress? How much money did you make? Can you truly say you put blood, sweat, and tears into your job?
- Is there any point at which you would be willing to stand up to your own party?
I’m going to debate Congressman Fortenberry in less than a month, and I look forward to holding him accountable for his votes against Nebraskans.
So, if you didn’t have a chance to send me your questions before, please do so now: Submit your debate questions for Jeff Fortenberry →
I can’t wait to hear from you. If you’d like to support the campaign and my debate prep ahead of the upcoming major deadline, consider pledging a small weekly contribution to keep our work running smoothly. Every little bit counts:
Our leaders need to act in the best interest of Nebraska – and if they don’t, it’s on us to replace them. It’s time to hold Jeff accountable.
Together in people power,
Kate Bolz
