Bad news, friends.
Republicans are recruiting 50,000 untrained volunteers -- "typically party activists," according to The Tampa Bay Times -- to flood polling places and serve as "poll watchers" all over the country. Historically, these types of efforts have been aimed at intimidating and suppressing communities of color. That's why courts have restricted the tactic for nearly 40 years.
But this is the first presidential election in decades in which the GOP will be allowed to use these voter intimidation schemes -- and it happens to be the most important election of our lifetimes. It's CRITICAL that we fight back and protect every American's right to vote!
