ATTENTION ALL GREENS! NOMINATIONS FOR GPUT OFFICER ELECTIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

September 1st marks the opening of the nomination period for the 2019 Green Party of Utah (GPUT) Coordinating Committee elections and state party bylaw amendment submissions. This period will be open through October 31st @ 11:59 PM-MST. No late submissions will be accepted. All GPUT members are eligible to submit bylaw amendments and serve on the Coordinating Committee (except where term limits or other bylaw restrictions apply). Are you sick of the status quo and the two-party oligarchy? Would you like to help build a strong and independent political party that truly represents your values? This is your opportunity to get more involved in building just that party. The Green Party of Utah is committed to building a political structure upheld by our Four Pillars of Democracy, Ecology, Peace, and Social Justice. 2020 will be an instrumental year in building that party.

We enter what is expected to be one of the most contentious presidential elections in history, and our party faces the possibility of losing ballot access. The Green Party of Utah’s ability to field future candidates will be in jeopardy unless one of our candidates obtains at least 2% of the statewide vote in 2020. It’s imperative we build an organization capable of running serious campaigns and meeting these sorts of thresholds. This will ensure our ability to field future candidates, grow our base, and help to build a party capable of much more in future elections. We need committed and strong leaders to help guide us through what will be a very busy 2020 election season. If you have ever considered getting more involved, NOW IS THE TIME TO DO IT! SELF NOMINATE TODAY!
