Friend – This past weekend, we lost a legend and icon.

I feel as though I owe my career to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as do so many of my generation and others that followed. She was an American treasure. May we all lead and learn from her. She was a true patriot – and American who believed in fairness and justice, not in partisan bickering.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was known for so many memorable quotes, but one of my favorites is: "Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time." We must channel her quiet will and unrelenting determination.

What is on the ballot in November is no longer a question of just Democrat vs. Republican – but a question of the laws and freedoms we cherish – access to health care, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, and so much more.

We must send a clear message on Nov. 3rd that we stand on the side of the people, on the side of justice, on the side of every Americans' rights. And we do that by sending Joe Biden to the White House, removing Mitch McConnell's majority in the Senate, and holding the hard-fought people's House.

In our mourning, we find strength as a community. Let us mourn the loss of a visionary and an icon but continue the march that she helped lead toward a more just and equal society. Let's do it for Ruth.

– Chrissy
