John -- The GOP is attacking BNC Candidate Jon Hoadley with a homophobic smear campaign intended to sway voters toward incumbent Fred Upton.

Another BNC candidate faced a similar hack job last month. Some leaders of the University of Massachusetts Amherst College Democrats waged a year-long plot rooted in homophobia to smear Alex Morse in favor of Rep. Richard Neal.

The GOP have gone to great lengths to dig up old college blogs by Jon Hoadley and pull phrases out of context, as a way of shaming Jon.

The attacks on Alex Morse and the digital and direct mail attacks on Jon Hoadley highlight a disturbing fact that policing of sexuality continues to be a serious issue in our society.

"The Republicans that are running right now, Fred Upton and the NRCC are scared that Fred Upton has a terrible record to run on. So they're trying to find everything else to distract with." - Jon Hoadley MI-06

Jon and his team aren’t letting the GOP’s bigoted tactics slow them down! These tactics show the GOP has nothing substantial to attack Jon with, and they are running scared.

Smear campaigns can also backfire. Despite Islamophobic attacks by the incumbent in MO-01, Cori Bush stayed the course and stuck to her principles, and she won by a few thousand votes.

We know what is possible if we can give Jon enough support.

Jon is running in a winnable district and the GOP knows it! We need to make thousands of calls and send thousands of text messages to voters between now and November 3rd. Can you contribute $10 today to help us send Jon Hoadley to Congress?

Let’s fight this latest smear campaign and flip MI-06 from Red to progressive.

In solidarity,

Zeynab Day
