This past weekend, our nation lost a true giant and trailblazer.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg committed her life to the fight for a more inclusive and fair democracy. We mourn her passing and honor her legacy by recommitting ourselves to the task at hand to reclaim and restore our country from the ground up.

Today, we are reminded that we must fight for every single foothold of power this November.

Joe Biden is outraising Donald Trump, and battleground Senate and House campaigns are raising record sums, yet Democrats continue to overlook key state legislative races in the Sun Belt that will shape the balance of power in our country for the generation to come.

Republican-held state legislative chambers continue to erode at the very foundation of our government. The extreme and undemocratic laws that go before the Supreme Court--from assaults on voting rights to health care to women's rights to climate change--originate in these right-wing legislatures.
