September 30th is the final quarterly fundraising deadline before our election on November 3rd. That means that the numbers we report next week will serve as a barometer for our campaign — and we’ll know how much we can fully invest in our voter outreach operations.

This is the first and only financial deadline where we have an actual opponent. And not just any opponent, but one who stands against creating a stronger, safer community and would rather resurrect abuses of the past. Now, more than ever, we need to make sure we have a strong showing. That’s why we set an ambitious goal of $25,000 by end of quarter.

I’m sure that if we hit this goal, we’ll be ready for whatever Jerry Sheridan will throw our way in October. Can you help us reach our end-of-quarter goal by chipping in $25 right now?

The reality of the situation is that if we don’t reach our goal, our opponent will see an opportunity to take advantage. We can’t let that happen — not when there’s so little time until ballots drop and people begin to cast their votes.
