Dear Friend,
Everyone deserves access to clean water.
And tackling our local and national water contamination problem is one of my highest priorities.
Unfortunately, firefighters across the country continue to use foam that contains harmful forever chemicals, PFAS chemicals. They leach into our water supply and expose these essential workers to dangerous forever chemicals that have been linked with cancer and other life-threatening conditions.
We need alternatives.
Become a citizen co-sponsor of the PFAS Free Foam Research and Development Act to prevent needless this exposure.
Finding an alternative to PFAS contaminated firefighting foam is vital — no one should be exposed to these harmful forever chemicals.
We need proper research and coordination, and this bill helps us protect our water from harmful contaminants by finding ways to achieve a quick and safe phase-out of PFAS firefighting foam.
Everyone deserves clean water, and I will not stop fighting for a future free of forever chemicals.
