John,
Last Friday, we lost an American hero.
The passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg — a woman who fought tirelessly for a better America, and who recognized the importance of defeating inequality in all its forms — has impacted so many across the country.
My heart goes out to her family, friends, and millions of admirers. As the cornerstone of its liberal wing, she was the heart and soul of the Supreme Court. She'll forever be remembered as a fearless advocate for the voiceless and the marginalized.
Justice Ginsburg — affectionately known by millions as the Notorious RBG — made it her life’s mission to amplify the causes of gender equality and representation. That legacy will continue on as we fight to realize the Constitutional rights and liberties she fought for and defended so vigorously.
Her legacy is our mission, John. When I get to Congress, I will continue fighting to ensure that women’s rights and gender equality are priorities in our progressive agenda. And I’ll fight to defend the progress we’ve achieved and to build on it — progress that would not have been possible without RBG.
Over the next 43 days, we have our marching orders. Let’s get out there and do exactly what she would have wanted: Fight like hell for our country, for our communities, and for one another.
Onward,
Ritchie
