Big news, John -- The Aurora Sentinel just endorsed Yes on Proposition 113, the National Popular Vote!

Read below for an important excerpt from their endorsement, then pitch in $10 so we can share this news with undecided voters across Colorado >> [[link removed]]

From The Aurora Sentinel, September 17, 2020:

The minority of voters suffer in every state. When California turned all 55 of its electoral votes in for Hillary Clinton in 2016, the 4,483,810 voters who cast ballots for Trump were silenced because of the electoral college system. Reliably conservative rural Colorado voters had no say in 2016 when liberal urban voters made all Colorado electors vote for Clinton. The opposite of this is true in states like Texas and Georgia.

Currently, voters in big cities and especially suburbs in swing states matter more than anyone to presidential campaigns because that’s how they can beat the winner-take-all electoral system.

Rural voters in reliable states, blue or red, don’t matter at all under the current system. That’s not opinion, it’s a fact. And in swing states, they don’t matter nearly as much to presidential campaigns as do dense pockets of voters in big cities and suburbs.
That would change under the National Popular Vote system. If the president is elected by popular vote, candidates would be forced to build campaigns that appeal to every voter in all parts of all states.

Our movement to make every vote for president count equally is gaining serious momentum.

But we’re running out of time to reach undecided voters in our state and share important endorsements like this one. Ballots will be mailed to Colorado voters in less than four weeks!

John, will you pitch in just $10 today so we can reach more undecided voters and get them to vote YES on Proposition 113, the National Popular Vote?

The Aurora Sentinel also explained that swing states “regularly get considerably more federal dollars and White House attention outside of election cycles.”

We think this is wrong -- the president should govern each state equally, and the only way to ensure that is by making every vote equal through a National Popular Vote. Pitch in now so we can pass Prop 113 in November:

Yes on Prop 113, National Popular Vote

Proposition 113 is on the ballot in Colorado this November. A YES vote on Prop 113 supports the National Popular Vote, which guarantees the Presidency to the candidate who wins the most votes in all 50 states. Last year, Governor Polis signed the National Popular Vote into law. On November 3rd, Coloradans will be asked to approve the decision of the Legislature and the Governor.
