About the program

On the ballot this November, Proposition 15 would increase funding for public schools, community colleges, and local government services by changing tax assessment of commercial and industrial property. Doing so creates a split roll property tax system, because residential property taxes would not be changed. Join us for a discussion of the arguments for and against this high-profile measure.

As part of our Speaker Series on California’s Future, PPIC is bringing together thought leaders to give Californians a better understanding of measures on the November ballot.

Participants

Mark Baldassare, president and CEO, PPIC
David Goldberg, vice president, California Teachers Association
Rachel Michelin, president, California Retailers Association
