Just three days ago we lost a legal pioneer, moral giant, and
inspirational keeper of justice -- and the ground shifted beneath
us. Our efforts to save our democracy in November and end
President Trump's assault on the rule of law have become even
more urgent.

Despite Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's dying wish not to be
replaced until a new President is installed, only hours later
Mitch McConnell promised to hold a Senate vote on Trump's pick
for her replacement.

The lack of respect for Justice Ginsburg's humanity is not a
surprise from Mitch McConnell, but that doesn't make it any less
shameful. It was, of course, McConnell who blocked President
Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, for over 200 days because it
was "too close to the 2016 Presidential election". Tragically for
our country, McConnell has consistently turned his back on
America by choosing to protect Donald Trump instead of defending
the rule of law and our democratic institutions.

That's why it's critical that just four Republican senators come
forward to honor Justice Ginsburg's dying wish and refuse to move
ahead with a vote. Senator Collins and Murkowski have come
forward already. Add your name to demand that two more Senate
Republicans do the right thing and refuse to move forward with
Trump's Supreme Court nominee.
