Hi friend,
House Democrats Sylvia Garcia and Al Green have written a letter to USPS officials in Texas demanding an explanation for accounts of voter registration cards being rejected in 20 different post offices. "It is concerning to us," the lawmakers wrote, "why some locations are turning away donations of voter registration cards from volunteers who are eager to facilitate their community members' right to vote in our democratic elections."
It's incredibly concerning. If DeJoy's USPS is rejecting voter registration cards, just imagine what they'll do with our mail-in ballots. The likelihood of a "red mirage" -- a situation where Trump might appear to be in the lead before mail-in-ballots are counted and prematurely declare victory to silence the voices of millions of Americans -- is growing. We can't let that happen -- especially with 40% of Americans saying they will vote by mail this November
Trump has already proven he's trying to steal this election. And it'll be that much easier to steal if inaccurate vote tallies make it look like he's won on election night. We're fighting to ensure no candidate can declare victory before all Americans have their votes counted, but so far, not nearly enough voters even know about the problem. That's why we need to know now if you're with us:
Do you demand that every vote be counted?
