A recent poll shows 56% of Americans now support removing Louis DeJoy from office.
That’s only slightly more than the percentage who’ve noticed their mail has gotten worse in the past month -- 53% of Americans say they’ve recently seen the impact of DeJoy’s mail delays in their own lives.
And now, even a former ethics lawyer for George Bush, Richard Painter, has testified to Congress that DeJoy likely sabotaged USPS partially to boost his financial investments at XPO Logistics, where DeJoy currently owns a $30 million stake in the company.
This is naked corruption. But 44% of Americans -- and the majority of Republicans -- are okay with DeJoy keeping his job. Should we just watch as one man destroys the Postal Service, potentially suppressing the votes of millions of Americans of color in the process, all for his own personal gain?
