Hurricane Dorian — one of the strongest hurricanes to ever make landfall — pummeled the island nation for 48 terrifying hours, turning homes into rubble and submerging entire communities underwater. The damage is only expected to get worse as relief efforts begin. Now that the storm has finally moved away, we are preparing emergency efforts to help children where they need it most. Each year, we respond to nearly 300 emergencies all over the world. We are carefully evaluating the impact of this disaster and will assess where funds are needed most.
