Here are three things you need to know about North Carolina’s battleground Senate race, Brandt:

1. Poll after poll shows Cal either defeating or in a dead heat with Republican incumbent Thom Tillis. It’s clear voters want an independent leader who gets things done for our state, not someone who bends to Mitch McConnell’s will every step of the way.

2. Democrats need to flip just four seats to take back the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s majority. Every major election forecaster out there has rated North Carolina a toss-up and considers us the ‘tipping point’ state in this election.

3. Mitch McConnell isn’t leaving anything up to chance — not when there’s a Supreme Court nomination on the line. His network of corporate donors and super PACs is spending more than $60 million to defeat Cal and save Tillis. They’ll spend even more to keep McConnell’s grip on power in Washington.

By now you know that the stakes are high in this campaign. We’re working overtime to beat an opponent who has corporate donors and super PACs bankrolling his candidacy. The truth is, Thom Tillis seems to care more about his wealthy donors than he does about the people of North Carolina.

The resources we gain before our last full end-of-quarter fundraising deadline will determine if we’re able to respond to McConnell and Tillis’ money machine in the closing weeks of this election. Brandt, will you pitch in to help us win?

Now more than ever, North Carolinians deserve bold, independent leadership in Washington. With your support, we can defeat McConnell’s donor network and send Cal to the U.S. Senate.

Thank you for being a part of this campaign.
