John,

"Losers." "Suckers."

That's what our commander-in-chief thinks of our fallen service members. To Donald Trump, there isn't much value in serving your country as a member of our armed forces -- he can’t even respect those who have fallen in the course of that service.

As he reportedly said standing next to General Kelly’s son’s grave, "I don't get it. What was in it for them?"

Perhaps that's because Trump evaded service himself, even though he attended a military boarding school. Perhaps that's why he didn't feel the need to honor America's war dead near Paris when he visited in 2018. Whatever the reason, a commander-in-chief who isn't keenly aware and deeply respectful of the sacrifice and bravery of our veterans, past and present, isn't deserving of that title.

Many of our veterans and current service members come from America’s rural areas. From ROTC programs to honoring veterans on holidays and with monuments, rural America is deeply respectful of -- and a big part of -- military service. We need people to understand the important role that veterans play in our rural communities.

John, Donald Trump called our veterans "losers" and further betrayed rural America. That's why we're putting his comments on billboards in key states and near military bases -- and we need your help to keep them up. Can you chip in $5 so we can keep these billboards up for a few weeks?

We deserve better than that. Our veterans deserve better than that.

Service to one's country is a core value in rural America, and Donald Trump has shown us time and again that he doesn't share that value. That's why we're going to make sure that everyone knows it.

We need to raise $10,000 to keep our billboards up for a few weeks, but we can't do it alone. Can you chip in $5 or whatever works for you so we can spread the word about Trump's insults to our fallen heroes?
