Washington Post: “Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s controversial midsummer operational directives delayed nearly 350 million pieces, or 7 percent, of the country’s first-class mail in the five weeks they were in effect, according to a new report published Wednesday by the Senate’s top Democrat in charge of postal oversight.”
If DeJoy’s USPS can’t handle first-class mail, they certainly can’t handle our mail-in ballots. The likelihood of a “red mirage” -- a situation where Trump might appear to be in the lead before mail-in-ballots are counted and prematurely declare victory to silence the voices of millions of Americans -- is growing. We can’t let that happen -- especially with 40% of Americans saying they will vote by mail this November
Trump has already proven he’s trying to steal this election. And it’ll be that much easier to steal if inaccurate vote tallies make it look like he’s won on election night.
