Dear Friend of the National Parks,
In a few days, park lovers across the nation will celebrate National
Public Lands Day. For people like you and me, it's a chance to give
back to the places we love, helping make parks and public lands better
for everyone.
This year, NPCA has some special online actions so park lovers can do
exactly that: Help make the parks better. In the days leading up to
National Public Lands Day, you can volunteer your expertise, your
knowledge and your stories to help national parks. This week, you'll
be able to:
- Weigh in on the issues that will motivate new park volunteers

- Share stories that will inspire others to care for our parks

- Shape a set of Insider Guides that will help others fall in love
with parks

- Make sure you're registered to vote in the upcoming elections
Go to npca.org/npld to share your expertise and experience. Check back
throughout the week as we add more ways for you to join this special
weeklong event! And don't forget to follow us on Instagram, Twitter
and Facebook for more ways to participate.

National Public Lands Day was started by the National Environmental
Education Foundation, and this year they're organizing a series of
virtual events to mark the day. You can check them out and sign up at

National Public Lands Day is a chance to show that park lovers are a
community -- people of all different backgrounds united in our passion
for the history, culture, and nature found in our national parks. I
hope you'll all join me in a week of celebrating the spirit that
brings us all together.
Thank you for everything you do for our parks.
Sincerely,
Theresa Pierno
