John,
Yesterday, I toured family-owned Crystal Seas Seafood processing plant in Pass Christian to hear first-hand from business owners and employees how the increasing frequency of the Bonnet Carré Spillway openings has affected our coast and their livelihood.
As a fifth-generation Mississippian and an avid outdoorsman, I have always been deeply dedicated to preserving Mississippi’s natural resources. That’s why I took on BP for the environmental and economic devastation they caused to our coast after the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010. And I recovered over $2 billion dollars for Mississippi.
That’s why I took on multiple corporations for dumping toxic waste that seeped into the groundwater of residential communities in Yalobusha County in 2017. And that’s why I am doing everything in my power as Attorney General to get answers and assurances for our coastal communities about the Bonnet Carré Spillway. I’ll continue fighting for Mississippi as your governor, but I need your help to get there. Can you donate today?

As governor, I will not only continue to hold wrongdoers and polluters accountable, but work to prevent degradation and build a state government that shares our vision of making Mississippi a better place for all so that we can protect Mississippi’s environment for generations to come. Can you contribute today to ensure we elect a governor who will fight to make Mississippi a better place for everyone?
