I am proud to announce that I have become a founding member of the Mississippi Freedom Caucus. Over the past few years I have witnessed the Mississippi legislature slip further and further to the left. Even though we have a super majority of Republicans we have seen legislation promoted that increases the gas tax, established an internet sales tax, and this year a “market place tax” that taxes sales on platforms such as Etsy and Facebook. Some Republicans seem to have forgotten the basic principles of the Republican Party.
 
It is time the people of Mississippi have a voice. It is my hope that the Mississippi Freedom Caucus will be that voice for true conservative reform.
 
The Mississippi Freedom Caucus is founded by elected officials who believe in freedom and liberty for the people of Mississippi. We are the voice of citizens who want bold action to protect life, strengthen families, defend our constitutional rights, limit government, and revitalize personal and economic freedoms in the state of Mississippi.
