Dear John,
Human Rights and Foreign Policy with the Experts
Join Us Tonight In Support of Human Rights Champion Tom Malinowski
Rep. Tom Malinowski is a friend of Muslims here and around the world; he co-sponsored the Uygher Human Rights Act, opposed the Muslim ban, co-sponsored the NO BAN Act, and is one of the strongest proponents for the Syrian people on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Through his work for Human Rights Watch and his service as the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, Rep. Malinowski earned the moniker of Human Rights Champion, and was elected to Congress in 2018.
Facing his first re-election campaign, our communities have an opportunity to show our appreciation for one of our strongest foreign policy allies in Congress- one we can depend on to stand up for what's right, at home and abroad. Join Emgage PAC on Monday night to show the Congressman that standing up for human rights around the world does not come with a political cost; rather, it is a source of diverse support and strength.

“When we see a government loading people onto trains to take them to concentration camps simply because of who they are, we have a moral obligation not just to say something, but to do something. Today, the House sent a clear, bipartisan message that no American company may be an accessory to genocide,” -Rep. Malinowski (D-NJ) on the passage of the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act
Also joining us is Kelly Magsamen, VP, National Security and International Policy at the Center for American Progress. From 2014 to 2017, Magsamen was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs and performed the duties of Assistant Secretary of defense. In these positions, she was a lead adviser to the secretary of defense for U.S. defense policy and strategy across the Indo-Asia-Pacific, including in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This is a great opportunity for community members to hear from key leaders on foreign policy and human rights.
