Friend -- Gerrymandering isn't just about partisan politics. It's about voting rights -- and whether the ballots we cast actually affect the government that's supposed to represent us. Take this from a recent article in The Washington Post:

"In 2018, for instance, Republicans lost the popular vote but won control of the state House of Representatives in a number of states... because Republicans controlled the redistricting process ... and drew districts virtually ensuring this outcome."

When a party loses the popular vote but wins an election due to gerrymandering -- as Republicans did in a number of our current target states in 2018 -- the government they form isn't truly representative of the people in their states. It's no wonder those governments consistently make policy choices that are counter to their constituents' interests.

From health care expansion to gun safety and more, gerrymandering can make the difference between a government that works for the people and one that serves special interests instead. We're working to end GOP gerrymandering and ensure everyone's vote counts this November -- but we need your help to do it!
