President Trump is taking away billions from the military in order to build a wall at the southern border -- including taking over $77 million from military projects here in Virginia.

This outrageous use of executive power is going to hurt our military and make our country less safe, all while distracting from actual ways to make our border more secure.

Instead of using 21st century solutions to enhance border security -- like drones, electronic sensors, and more resources at ports of entry -- the president wants to use 14th century technology: a wall. And he's taking money from military projects here in the Commonwealth (like funding for a new cyber operations facility) that will actually make Americans safer.

This is nothing more than a political power grab to fund a campaign promise-turned-vanity project.

I opposed the president's emergency declaration to build his wall, and I'm asking for your help to stop him from taking money from our military.
