The day begins at 9:00 AM with back-to-back expert panels, “Private Sector Innovation: Accelerating the Greening of the Grid in Forgotten America” followed by “Renewable Energy in My Backyard: A Focus on Property Rights.” We’ll then turn to discussions on natural solutions to climate change, particularly through farming, beginning with Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young, Chief Scientist, U.S. Department of Agriculture (11:45 AM), followed by a Senators' Dialogue with Senators Mike Braun (R-IN) and Chris Coons (D-DE), Co-Chairs of Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, and a related panel, “The American Farmer: Tomorrow's Clean Energy and Climate Solutions Mogul.”

Two afternoon panels (1:30 PM and 3:15 PM) are focused on securing our domestic energy resources, and remarks from Representative Garret Graves (R-LA) and Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) promise to be newsworthy.

Wednesday, September 23

Wednesday’s programming begins at 10:00 AM with remarks from two of the most bipartisan members of Congress, Senator Joe Machin (D-WV) followed by Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO). Following another panel with an agricultural theme, “The New Cash Crop: Rural Renewables,” (10:45 AM) and one on innovation, “New Technology Is Growing the Clean Energy Economy” (12:00 PM), the rest of the day is focused on reducing emissions: “How the Fortune 500 Charts a Voluntary Path to Lower Emissions” (1:15 PM); “Targets For Reaching Net Zero Emissions: How Do We Get There?” (2:30 PM); and “Oil and Gas Industries: Looking Ahead at Low Carbon Investments, Energy Transition, and Net-Zero” (4:00 PM).

They will be highlighting the tremendous work that has gone into making Georgia one of the top 10 solar producers in the nation. You will hear from Georgia PSC Commissioners Bubba McDonald & Tim Echols on how Georgia's solar journey started and where it is headed. Georgia Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson will discuss the massive economic impact of the solar industry. Senator Randy Robertson will give an update on clean energy at the Capitol, and The Ray's Allie Kelly will talk about the latest in clean energy technology and innovation.

The Wisconsin Energy Institute has excellent programming every for kids and adults alike every day of National Clean Energy Week, including Bingo and a coloring page, an “Energy Transitions Workshop” and more.

Tuesday, September 22

The American Biogas Council is hosting a webinar entitled, “Managing Animals & Energy: Swine, Dairy, Poultry & Beef” from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Dairy farms aren’t the only agricultural operations clammering to turn their manure into biogas. The hog and poultry industries are beginning to see a boom in biogas system development. What’s driving this renaissance and what are the biggest challenges for farmers to manage both their animal operations and renewable energy production?

Join the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association for a free virtual webinar from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM Eastern Time. Year over year, polling across North Carolina points to strong support for clean energy from voters on both sides of the aisle. This same polling indicates that voters are split, and overall less supportive, of fossil fuel development. Further, voters also believe lawmakers in North Carolina should invest more in clean energy and ensure more market competition in energy production. These results are particularly important to consider when various stakeholders and lawmakers continue to chart the path forward for the clean energy economy in North Carolina and the southeast. Register here.

Thursday, September 24

The American Biogas Council is hosting a webinar entitled, “The Rising Renewable Gas Market: H2, RNG, P2G,” from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time. The renewable gas industry includes much more than biogas and renewable natural gas. Markets have emerged for renewable hydrogen and several different ways to connect biogas, hydrogen, and excess solar/wind under the umbrella of power-to-gas. Where is the market growing fastest and where will the next opportunities be?

Join the Washington Examiner and Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions on September 24th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Central Time for a virtual event celebrating Iowa's recognition of National Clean Energy Week September 21st-25th with a discussion featuring long-time clean energy supporter Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg (R) focused on America’s rapidly innovating domestic energy industry and the economic importance of our clean energy workforce in Iowa.

The American Biogas Council is hosting its final NCEW webinar entitled, “Biogas’ Role on the Path to Electrification,” from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. On the search for lower carbon energy, environmentalists and policymakers are driving the creating of narrow, electricity-only policies. However, real life is more complicated than these simple policies, especially when one looks closely at the transit, trucking, waste management, and state regulations. What role should renewable natural gas play? Can it help if the path to 100% electrification continues?

Greentown Labs is excited to announce the location of their new Houston incubator! Tune in on September 22 to learn where their incubator will open and how this location will help them serve the city's climatetech community, then join them on September 24 at 4:00 PM Central Time for an EnergyBar networking event to hear from partners and get further details on the new location.
