Hey Brandt —

As Cal’s Communications Director, I’ll oversee the campaign’s rapid response operation this Tuesday during his second debate against Thom Tillis.

Cal is looking forward to returning to the stage to continue sharing his vision for North Carolina. He’s ready to hold Tillis accountable for six years of lousy leadership — and respond to the misleading attacks Washington Republicans have spread out of desperation to hold onto North Carolina’s Senate seat.

Brandt, Mitch McConnell and his ilk are terrified about losing this race, and with it, their entire majority — which is why they’re rushing a Supreme Court nomination. And it’s why they’re spending more money here than any other Senate race in the country.

Tuesday will be here before we know it, and my team and I are hustling to prepare for a big rapid response push. Our objective is to make sure persuadable voters hear Cal’s message and have the latest information on the race. To succeed, we’ll need to stay on track with our fundraising goals.

So, we’re working to raise $40,000 before Cal walks onto the debate stage. I know this is an ambitious goal, but working together, I think it’s achievable:

North Carolinians deserve a Senator who will fight for them, not bend to Mitch McConnell’s will like Tillis has — and I can say with 100% certainty that Cal’s ready to be that independent leader in Washington. But first, he needs our support as he prepares to take on Tillis in this Tuesday’s debate.

Please, get behind North Carolina’s next U.S. Senator by pitching in today if you can.

Thanks for everything.

— Rachel
