This should motivate all of us. Arpaio’s right-hand man is attempting to return the Office of the Sheriff to the abusive and ineffective practices of the past administration that harmed the community and cost taxpayers over $140 million and counting. The article detailed our opponent’s grand plans to “reopen the Tent City jail” an infamous relic of the Arpaio-Sheridan administration that Sheriff Penzone closed and introduced a drug rehabilitation program in its place to reduce recidivism.

But that’s not all that concerns us: Since Sheridan is not as well known as his old boss Joe Arpaio, voters may be casting their ballots for him without knowing the extent of his record as a deputy — he was found in contempt of court, knowingly made misstatements under oath, disobeyed court orders, and manipulated internal investigations to avoid accountability for himself and others.
