John,
In the midst of a global pandemic, all voters must have the ability to vote safely—whether by mail, through the use of a drop-box or in person.
Voting by mail is the safest way to vote during a pandemic. And between now and Election Day more voters than ever are expected to utilize vote-by-mail to make their voices heard.
With just over six weeks until Election Day, tell the U.S. Senate: Defend our rights by funding and protecting the U.S. Postal Service, expanding vote-by-mail options wherever possible, and approving the $3.6 billion experts say states need to hold safe and accessible elections this fall.
We must make sure that all voters are able to make their voices heard on the critical issues facing our country.
Thank you,

--DEBORAH'S EMAIL--
We are grief-struck at the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Because she understood that “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people…” we hope you will join us in fighting for freedom’s most basic tool, the vote. There is much more we must do to honor and advance Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy. But taking the action below is a start.
Respectfully,
Deborah Weinstein and all the staff at the Coalition on Human Needs
Tell the US Senate:
"No one should have to choose between risking their health at the polls or forfeiting their right to vote during this pandemic. Every voter who wants to cast a mail-in ballot in November should be able to.
The Senate must immediately defend our rights by funding and protecting the U.S. Postal Service, expanding vote-by-mail options wherever possible, and approving the $3.6 billion needed to hold safe and accessible elections this fall."

John,
In less than 50 days, one of the most consequential Election Days in the history of our country will be upon us. And, this year, people must vote during an incredibly challenging time: a deadly pandemic.
To make matters worse, we have a president who is dead set on making voting even harder. Instead of encouraging people throughout our country to vote by mail—the safest way to vote during a pandemic—he and his Postmaster General are standing in the way at every turn.
We aren't going to let the Trump administration undermine our election. Together, we are going to demand Congress protect our right to vote. Tell the Senate: Those who want to vote by mail must be able to. Sign if you agree!
Let’s be clear: voters should have the right to cast their ballot by mail. Mail-in voting is a paper-based system that is safe and accessible. It can easily be audited to ensure election results are correct—and it has already been tested and proven secure in states across the country. Voting by mail also prevents voters from potentially being exposed to COVID-19.
The Senate must do its job: fund the U.S. Postal Service and state election officials’ efforts to support voting by mail. In the next 50 days, an unprecedented number of Americans are going to trust the U.S. Postal Service to deliver their ballots.
We can't let them down. Our democracy depends on it. We can't allow the Trump administration to undermine our ability to vote effectively by mail.
Together, we are going to demand Mitch McConnell and Senate leadership pass the Delivering for America Act, which would forbid major changes to the USPS during the COVID-19 crisis; allocate sufficient funding to preserve the Postal Service; expand vote-by-mail options wherever possible; and invest $3.6 billion in states that experts say they’ll need to hold safe and secure elections this fall.
Join CHN and our growing national coalition to demand the Senate defend vote-by-mail and a secure vote, and ensure the U.S. Postal Service has the money it needs to function. Americans must be given the opportunity to vote safely during a pandemic. Sign if you agree!
Elections are the most direct way for people to prioritize the issues that our country faces. For a democracy to work, people need to be able to vote safely and have confidence that their vote was counted. That's why, during a global pandemic, we need to be able to vote by mail or safely in person, and that's why we need to ensure the U.S. Postal Service has the resources it needs to deliver millions of ballots throughout our country.
Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to elect a government that truly reflects the needs of the people.
