Do you remember your first election? |
Hello Friend, Everyone has a story about registering to vote for the first time. In honor of National Voter Registration Week, we are hosting a live chat to help you get registered for this upcoming election and talking with folks about the first time they registered to vote for their first election. Join us this Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:30PM live on our Facebook page to learn how to register or update your voter registration, and share your story of voting for the first time. I remember registering to vote as soon as I turned 18. I was super excited about being able to take part in local elections and the electoral process. The first election I voted in was the 2008 Presidential Election. I have fond memories of how empowering it felt to cast my first vote for President all those years ago. The purpose of National Voter Registration Week is to get first-time voters registered. Our hosts, Deja and Ingrid from with Team IPN will be sharing their first time registering to vote, the first election they voted in, and how important it is to get registered! We’d love to hear your story too. Don’t miss our special Facebook Live happening on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 at 2:30PM! I hope you will be able to join us as we discuss these important issues. Tune in with the first-time voters in your circle! Best, Amber Falgout |
