If the last 48 hours taught us anything, it’s that Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party are hypocrites. They will stop at nothing to make sure they ram through a new Trump appointee to the Supreme Court.

Let me be clear when we say this: There is no precedent for appointing a Supreme Court Justice this close to an election. The last time we had an appointment during an election year, Mitch McConnell chose to ignore it.

We have to do everything we can between now and Election Day to flip the Senate and ensure Mitch McConnell loses his job.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a fighter for equity and women’s rights throughout her career. We need more leaders in our Senate and on our Supreme Court who live up to her legacy. There are three Democratic women who are running for Senate seats that have a real shot at flipping, but they need the resources to compete in these last few crucial weeks.
