I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this, Brandt, but things are really heating up in our campaign — and the attention on North Carolina’s Senate race has only increased in the past 48 hours.
Last week, I debated Thom Tillis for the first time, and this Tuesday, we’ll meet on the debate stage again to share our views on the most pressing issues facing North Carolina and our country.
At the same time we’re preparing for debates, we’re also approaching our last full end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, which is one of our final moments to show North Carolinians, national supporters, and Washington Republicans just how strong our campaign is.
Thom Tillis is certainly feeling this time-crunch, too — which is why he’s relying on Donald Trump’s support more than ever. In the past four weeks alone, Trump has visited North Carolina four times (that’s literally one visit per week!), each time rallying his base to help Tillis.
We need to demonstrate that our people-powered campaign is in a strong position to win. That’s why our team has set the goal of raising $40,000 before my next debate. Every donation you make helps us meet our target and allows me to focus on preparing for Tuesday:

$40,000 is a meaningful number for our campaign right now. Yes, it connects to Trump’s four recent visits to North Carolina. But it’s also a reminder of what’s at stake — Democrats need to flip just four seats to take back the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s grip on power in Washington.
To succeed, replacing Thom Tillis is a must, and it’s clear that our message has broken through. But the more Trump returns to our state, the more chances Tillis has to beg for his help in this race.
Tuesday’s debate is a key opportunity for me to respond directly to North Carolinians. Anything you can pitch in will help us amplify that message — and continue connecting with folks as we work to earn their votes.

Okay, it’s time for me to get back to debate prep. Thanks for being with me in this fight.
