Kamala Harris is taking a stand against Trump’s voter suppression tactics.
Earlier this week, Harris warned voters of Trump’s attempts to silence them, saying, “[Trump is] trying to create fear, trying to create distrust and I would urge everyone to sit back and think: Why is he trying to put in place all these obstacles to having people vote? He knows that when people vote, things change.”
Donald Trump has spent months attacking vote-by-mail measures across the country, making it harder for Americans to turn in their ballots during a national public health crisis. An internal Postal Service audit found that more than one million mail-in ballots were sent late to voters during the primary elections thanks to the significant operational cuts instituted by Trump’s mega-donor Louis DeJoy -- and now Americans are worried their votes won’t be counted in November.
