Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was one of the most revered legal minds in this country. The second woman to ever sit on the Supreme Court, she fought tirelessly for the rights of her fellow Americans.
This is a time of mourning for all our country has lost with Justice Ginsburg. But it must also be a time for action. We can pray for change, but we also have to work for it.
Flipping the United States Senate and regaining a Democratic majority has never been more urgent. Democrats must invest in our Senate races like never before — especially grassroots campaigns like ours that Democratic Party elites have ignored.
And let’s just be clear: The path to a Senate majority runs through Mississippi. We are only 5 points down. Mississippi is a battleground state — no matter what pundits may say.
I’m sick of Mississippi being overlooked by party leaders. I’m sick of the South and Black voters being ignored. And I’m sick of elites signaling that they don’t think a Black man in Mississippi can win.
